Djalouz

Born in 1985, Djalouz is a visual artist, illustrator, and graffiti artist. While obtaining his diploma as a model-making designer, he began graffiti in 2003, inspired by the emerging French and European graffiti scene (Marko 93, Dran, Daim, MTO, etc.) but also by the world of comic books (Enki Bilal, Frank Miller).

Comfortable working on various surfaces, his art can be found on canvas as well as on Parisian walls, wastelands, and abandoned factories where nature has reclaimed its rights. He practices the art of lettering with 3D graffiti as well as figurative drawing.

Recently, in his series of drawings "Child's words, draw me as a sheep," he sketches the world's troubles through the eyes of a child. Beneath the apparent simplicity of the lines, multiple references question the world around us and its often brutal reality: war, migratory flows, pollution, ecology, surveillance..."
